About Tennesha Wood

Tennesha Wood is the founder and lead matchmaker of The Broom List, a boutique matchmaking and relationship coaching firm dedicated to successful Black professionals ready to find lasting love. With over 10 years of experience, she has guided clients through the full journey from self-discovery to marriage.

Tennesha’s path into this work was not planned. As she built her corporate career, friends kept pulling her aside for relationship advice. She had a natural gift for seeing people clearly and knowing who they belonged with. Word spread, a calling emerged, and The Broom List was born.

She knows this journey personally. Tennesha is a wife and mother who found her own love story while doing this work, and that lived experience shapes every coaching relationship she holds.

She has been a featured guest on NBC’s Today Show, ABC’s Good Morning America, and A&E’s #Blacklove, and has lent her expertise as a relationship expert on the celebrity series Kings Court, where she worked with notable figures including Tyson Beckford. Her work has also been featured in many large publications including The New York Times, Essence, and Entrepreneur Magazine.
